Inaugural of NSS activities in M. E. S. College of Arts & Commerce

The activities of NSS Unit for the academic year 2015 – ’16 of M. E. S. College of Arts and Commerce was inaugurated at the hands of Shri. Krishna ‘Daji’ Salkar on 15 July, 2015 at 03: 00 pm in the Seminar hall of the College. 

Dr. R. B. Patil, Principal of MES College, presided over the function, Shri. Sanjiv K. Shirodkar, NSS Programme Officer In-charge, welcomed the gathering and provided insights on NSS – its history, functions, roles and responsibilities.

The chief guest in his address stressed on the role of NSS in the social setup of the state and provided many instances where NSS volunteers could offer their time and service. The Principal in his address emphasised the need for active participation and enthusiasm from the students while committing to the different tasks and activities of NSS. 

Dr. S. Susan Deborah compered the event and Ms. Shveta S. Desai proposed the vote of thanks.

150 NSS student volunteers and NSS Programme Officers, Ms. Sveta S. Desai, Ms. Fatima Maria Gomes, Dr. S. Susan Deborah, Mr. Dattaprasad Shirgurkar and Mr. Bhiku Bhave were present for the inaugural ceremony.
