‘Innovertising’,
a competition for B.Com Semester III students was organized recently by the
Commerce Association of MES College of Arts & Commerce, Zuarinagar, in the
college premises. The competition received an overwhelming response and 19
teams consisting of 5 members each participated in the competition, with a
total of 95 students in all.
The Competition was on “Presentation of
Innovative skill in Advertising a Product or Service”. The teams were required to
select any existing product/service and advertise in an interesting and
innovative way without mentioning the brand name and the product’s existing advertising
slogans or captions. The creative,
innovative ideas of students were vividly visible during the competition. The
best three teams were declared as the winners and cash prizes and certificates
were awarded to them during the formal prize distribution function. Shri Gopi R
Kalwar, Deputy Manager of Times of India Group, Shri. Felix Ferrao, Entrepreneur
and Ms. Prachi Deshpande, Chartered Accountant were the judges for the
competition.
While addressing, the judges praised the
students for their creative thinking. Principal Dr. R. B. Patil, Vice Principal
and Head, Department of Commerce, Prof. V. V. Sail, Coordinator of the Commerce
Association Prof. Safal Narvekar, President of Student Executive Committee of
Commerce Association Mr. Prashant Tawde, and Vice President of Student
Executive Committee of Commerce Association Ms. Debangana Ghosh were
also present. The event was compeered by students Ms.
Neema Kumari and Ms. Huma Makandar. The
activity was designed and planned to attract maximum participation of students
to ensure their inclusive growth and development which is the main objective of
the Commerce Association.
