Inculcating the Spirit of Entrepreneurship at MES College



A five-day Entrepreneurship & Business Skills Education Workshop, CMS (Change the Mindset) at MES College of Arts and Commerce, Zuarinagar was inaugurated at the hands of Chief Guest Shri. Atul Jadhav, President of Goa Barge Owners Association recently in the College Premises.

While emphasising the objective of CMS workshop, the Chief Guest Shri. Atul Jadhav impressed upon the students that they should develop within them the qualities of perseverance and passion, if they want to realise their entrepreneurial goals. He also asked the student participants to be job providers rather than job seekers and help the state in the process of economic development.

The eminent resource persons included Mr. Jervis Pereira, Coordinator I Create Goa, Mr. Yogesh Goswamy, Young Entrepreneur, and Mr. Nandkishor A, Chief Manager of State Bank of India, Vasco. Necessary theoretical aspects were provided by the in house faculty, namely Shri. Sanjiv K. Shirodkar, Shri. Atmaram Tarpe and Ms. Teja N. Kerkar who provided valuable guidance to student participants on How to go about the business plan, 7 P’s of Marketing, defining sales units, Break-even point, role playing, Preparation Cash book, trade games and power of networking.
